Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role based in Baie-d’Urfé, QC. The Service Technician will perform routine and corrective maintenance on marine equipment and systems, including inspection, repair, and replacement of mechanical and electrical components. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, and completing field service visits on vessels and marine installations. The Service Technician will document work performed, maintain accurate service records, and follow safety and environmental compliance procedures. The position also includes regular interaction with customers to explain findings, provide recommendations, and ensure a high level of service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting complex technical issues and identifying root causes.
- Experience in Field Service work, including on-site inspections and service at customer locations.
- Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- General Maintenance capabilities, including preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Relevant technical diploma or apprenticeship in marine engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
- Ability to read technical drawings, service manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Comfort working in marine environments, including engine rooms and onboard vessels, following safety standards.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for field service assignments.
