The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a Highspring delivery team and contribute to the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-scale backend solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who thrives in cloud-native environments and enjoys building robust, scalable applications using modern Java technologies.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Participate in software architecture and technical design discussions.
- Develop event-driven solutions and integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Create and maintain automated unit tests using JUnit and related frameworks.
- Support application quality, performance, and reliability objectives.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across development processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and team planning activities.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in backend application development.
