POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with deep hands-on expertise in AWS architecture and data platforms to support a major cloud transformation initiative for a leading financial services organization. The successful candidate will design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure and data services, with a strong focus on AWS Step Functions, Glue, DataZone, Lake Formation, Glue Catalog, and SageMaker Unified Studio. This role requires strong security knowledge and hands-on experience configuring AWS policies, Secrets Manager, KMS, VPCs, and related infrastructure resources

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement scalable, secure AWS cloud architectures aligned with enterprise requirements
- Lead hands-on implementation of AWS Step Functions, Glue jobs, AWS DataZone, and related AWS data services
- Design and implement AWS Lake Formation and Glue Catalog solutions
- Implement and configure SageMaker Unified Studio across cloud data and analytics environments
- Configure and manage AWS infrastructure resources including VPCs, catalog connections, and related services
- Design and implement AWS security controls using IAM policies, Secrets Manager, KMS keys, and other AWS security services
- Support the integration of cloud data platforms and services across enterprise environments
- Evaluate architecture requirements and translate them into scalable and secure AWS solutions
- Troubleshoot complex cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, and data integration issues
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and project leadership to deliver cloud architecture and implementation outcomes
- Ensure AWS solutions follow enterprise security, governance, scalability, and operational standards
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Senior-level experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS cloud architectures
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture and infrastructure implementation
- Proven experience implementing AWS Step Functions across enterprise projects
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue jobs and Glue Catalog
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with AWS Lake Formation
- Hands-on experience with AWS DataZone
- Mandatory hands-on experience implementing SageMaker Unified Studio
- Strong understanding of AWS security and hands-on experience with AWS IAM policies
- Hands-on experience with AWS Secrets Manager and KMS key management
- Strong experience configuring AWS infrastructure resources including VPCs and catalog connections
- Ability to design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions
- Strong understanding of AWS data, security, networking, and infrastructure services
- Experience working on complex enterprise cloud transformation initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS, particularly Snowflake deployed on private cloud environments
- Experience within financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments
- Experience with enterprise cloud governance and security frameworks
