What You'll Do
As our Lead Technician, you'll play a key role in overseeing and executing installation and
service projects across our core service areas.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage installation projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines,
and quality standards
- Independently perform service calls, diagnose technical issues, and implement solutions
- Interpret and execute project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Perform hands-on installations, commissioning, testing, and maintenance
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets company and client expectations
- Mentor, train, and coordinate junior technicians and team members
- Manage project-specific documentation, reporting, and administrative requirements
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project
success
- Support project planning and provide technical input during project execution
- Stay current with industry technologies, best practices, certifications, and installation
standards
What You Bring
- Proven experience with audio visual, structured cabling/low voltage, and/or security system
installations
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Demonstrated leadership experience coordinating teams and projects
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Adaptability to varying project requirements and work environments
- Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Atlantic Canada as required
- Flexibility to very occasionally work evenings or weekends when project schedules require
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Assets include CTS, CCS, manufacturer certifications, networking experience,
commissioning experience, and experience leading installation teams.
