Salary: £25,946/pa (FTE £32,000/pa)

As the organisation’s first dedicated HR Officer, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business. The successful candidate will provide professional, practical and compliant HR support across the full employee lifecycle, helping to develop people practices, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working autonomously, building relationships, and making a meaningful contribution to a growing organisation.
The role will be based at CSS head office in Halifax, however there will be occasional travel to Mirfield (WF14) required to attend meetings, training, and supervisions.
Key Duties
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people matters.
- Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and performance management processes.
- Prepare HR documentation, letters and reports in line with employment legislation and internal procedures.
- Attend employee relations meetings and provide procedural guidance and support.
- Promote fair, consistent and legally compliant people management practices.
- Support with recruitment, onboarding, and training and development tasks as and when required.
It is an essential requirement that you hold a Level 5 CIPD or equivalent qualification, however additional training will be offered to the successful candidate.
