Located on the North Shore and serving the community for over 50 years, the clinic provides free parking, a convenient location, and a 500-square-foot gym with an ocean view, 10 treatment beds, and 2 private rooms.
Role Description The Medical Office Receptionist is a part-time, on-site role based at Hollyburn Physiotherapy Clinic in West Vancouver, BC. This role is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and maintaining a welcoming and professional front desk environment. Daily tasks include answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, scheduling and confirming appointments, and coordinating patient flow to ensure punctual, efficient visits. The receptionist will also handle patient information with care, support basic medical office administration, assist with insurance-related questions, and collaborate with therapists and other staff to support smooth clinic operations.
Hours:
This is an afternoon position.
Currently the position is 1-7pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's.
There is the possibility of extending hours/moving to full-time in the future.
Qualifications
- Strong Phone Etiquette and communication skills for handling patient calls and inquiries.
- Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and coordinating patient visits using clinic management systems.
- Excellent English Language Skills
- Experience with Receptionist Duties in a healthcare or medical office setting is an asset
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment and supporting a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with electronic scheduling or medical records software such as Jane is preferred
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy, medical, or allied health clinic is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical office administration is an advantage.
Salary:
Depending on qualifications, the starting salary ranges from $21-23 with the potential for increases in the future.
