Role Description The Residential Painter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. Day-to-day tasks include preparing interior and exterior surfaces (washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and priming), applying paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and ensuring clean lines and even coverage. The Residential Painter will protect surrounding areas, maintain tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, and keep workspaces organized. The role also involves reviewing job requirements, coordinating with the team lead, communicating clearly with clients when needed, and completing projects on schedule with a high-quality, professional finish.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Paint and Painting techniques for interior and exterior residential projects.
- Skill in Spray Painting for efficient application on various surfaces and finishes.
- Basic Carpentry abilities to repair minor surface defects, trim, and woodwork before painting.
- Comfort reading and interpreting Architectural Drawings to understand project scope and specifications.
- Previous residential or commercial painting experience and familiarity with surface preparation methods.
- Knowledge of safety practices, including ladder use, personal protective equipment, and safe handling of materials.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Toronto, ON, and willingness to work flexible hours as projects require.
