About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of our full scope of services. In this role You’ll proactively identify operational challenges, remove roadblocks, strengthen processes, and use project performance data to improve productivity, profitability, and consistency across the construction/ earthworks/ reno teams.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and hold Project Managers, Site Foremen, supervisors, and field teams accountable for performance and project delivery.
- Oversee active construction and renovation projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment, gross margins, and overall job progress.
- Identify projects at risk of delays, cost overruns, labour shortages, quality concerns, or customer issues and implement corrective action.
- Ensure proper management of scopes, change orders, extras, deficiencies, warranties, Work Orders, documentation, and project closeout.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize crew utilization and minimize downtime.
- Monitor workforce capacity and upcoming project demands to support effective scheduling and resource planning.
- Ensure consistent use of company processes, systems, documentation standards, and operational procedures.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Safety, Fleet, HBS, and other departments to ensure strong project handoffs and execution.
- Support Project Managers with escalated customer, scheduling, quality, or project-performance concerns.
- Conduct regular site visits to review safety, workmanship, productivity, progress, and adherence to project plans.
- Promote strong standards of workplace safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements that reduce costs, rework, and delays.
- Conduct regular project reviews and 1:1s, providing clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Develop emerging leaders and support succession planning within the operations team.
- Track and report key operational KPIs, project health, financial performance, risks, resource needs, and major project updates to senior leadership.
- Support operational planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused culture where teams communicate effectively and take ownership.

- Can coach and develop Project Managers and field leaders.
- Understands construction operations, scheduling, budgets, and project performance.
- Has the ability to work collaboratively across all business metrics.
- Looks for ways to improve processes rather than simply maintaining them.
- Has the drive and potential to take on greater responsibility as the company continues to grow.
- Ability to conduct regular site visits and travel between active projects.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and clear criminal record.
- Professional certification or designation in a relevant field is required or strongly preferred, such as: Red Seal Certification, Gold Seal Certification, PMP, Certified Construction Manager or other recognized construction, engineering, or project management designation.
