Role Description The MIT (Manager In Training) role at Honey is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. The Manager In Training supports daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring the boutique reflects Honey’s brand aesthetic at all times. This role assists with leading and coaching the sales team, delivering inclusive and attentive customer service, and promoting key collections and events. The MIT helps with inventory management, stock replenishment, and loss prevention practices, while learning scheduling, performance feedback, and basic reporting. This position prepares the team member to transition into a management role by gradually taking on responsibilities in leadership, sales performance, and overall store success.
Qualifications
- Retail and fashion experience, including customer service in a boutique or apparel environment.
- Leadership potential with skills in team support, collaboration, and coaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests and team members.
- Basic business and sales skills, including comfort with point-of-sale systems and sales reporting.
- Attention to detail and an eye for visual merchandising and brand presentation.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Adaptability, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
- Interest in fashion, styling, and current trends; prior supervisory experience is an asset.
