As an Inventory Control Clerk here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting material availability, and ensuring the integrity of inventory records within the ERP system. The role executes cycle counts, physical inventory activities, inventory investigations, and material control processes while supporting stores operations, labs, production, and planning functions.
You will report directly to our Sr Materials Mgmt Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location on an on-site work schedule.
The position works closely with the Inventory Analyst to identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, improve inventory accuracy, support KPI reporting, and maintain audit-ready inventory records.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Accuracy & Physical Inventory
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, status, and unit of measure during inventory counts.
- Conduct blind counts and support recount activities when required.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies through physical verification and transaction history review.
- Identify and escalate inventory variances, stock discrepancies, and control issues.
- Maintain accurate count documentation and inventory records.
Support to the Inventory Analyst
- Assist the Inventory Analyst with inventory reconciliation activities.
- Research inventory variances and provide supporting documentation for inventory adjustments.
- Support root cause investigations related to inventory inaccuracies.
- Prepare inventory reports, count results, and variance summaries.
- Assist with KPI tracking including inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, location accuracy, and transaction compliance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing inventory discrepancies and improving inventory controls.
- Support audits by gathering inventory records, count documentation, and transaction history.
Inventory Transactions & Material Control
- Complete and verify inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and location changes.
- Scrap picking and decanting material for disposal
- Ensure ERP transactions accurately reflect physical inventory movements.
- Maintain material traceability, identification, segregation, and storage requirements.
- Support inventory adjustment processes following approved procedures and authorization requirements.
- Monitor inventory locations and correct storage discrepancies.
Stores & Operational Support
- Support filling KanBans, Supermarkets, material put-away, kitting, replenishment, and material distribution activities.
- Monitor Kanban and min/max inventory locations and identify replenishment issues.
- Assist with shortage investigations and material availability concerns.
- Maintain organized, safe, and audit-ready inventory locations.
- Support internal customers including Production, Engineering, Laboratories, Receiving, and Planning teams.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
- Identify recurring inventory errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Follow all quality, safety, ESD, FOD, and material handling requirements.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.
MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or stores operations role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with physical inventory, cycle count experience, investigating inventory discrepancies and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using ERP systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 lbs safely.
WE VALUE

- Experience supporting Inventory Analysts or Inventory Control teams.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Kanban, FIFO, min/max replenishment, and inventory control methodologies.
- Forklift certification or material handling equipment experience.
- Experience with serialized, shelf-life controlled, or traceable inventory.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
The annual base salary range for this position is $61,000 - $82,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
