Work safely and professionally at customer facilities.
Complete required field documentation, timekeeping, and reporting.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other trades.
Travel to customer facilities and project locations as required.

Required Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship.
Willingness to travel and work overtime, weekends, shutdowns, or non-standard hours when project requirements dictate.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Industrial field-service experience.
Machinery installation and relocation experience.
Rigging and heavy equipment moving experience.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with:

Millwright/Electrician dual trade certification.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage of $45.00/hour.
Higher wages available based on experience, qualifications, and additional trade certifications.
Overtime paid in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards.
Health and dental benefits.
Daily Living Allowance (LOA) for eligible out-of-town work.
Travel pay for eligible travel time.
Full-time, permanent employment.
Regular opportunities for additional hours.

Work Schedule

Work schedules vary based on customer and project requirements.

The position includes weekday work with regular weekend overtime opportunities. Work may also include early-morning maintenance windows, shutdowns, extended shifts, and periodic out-of-town travel.

Candidates should be comfortable with the flexibility that comes with industrial field-service and project work.

Who Fits at Horizon?

Technical ability matters, but how you work matters too.

Our Core Values define the standard we expect from our team:

Own It - Take responsibility for results, problems, and follow-through.

Say it Straight - Communicate clearly, honestly, and directly.

Get it Done - Be reliable, work hard, and finish the job.

Bring Solutions - Don't just identify problems. Help solve them.

Stay Coachable - Be open to feedback, learning, and improvement.

Take Pride - Care about quality, details, and how you represent yourself and Horizon.

We're looking for people who already work this way.

Why Horizon?

At Horizon, we're building more than an industrial services company - we're building a team of exceptional tradespeople.

You'll work on a wide variety of mission-critical machinery and material-handling systems, solve challenging problems, and be trusted to make an impact from day one.

For someone who enjoys variety, field work, troubleshooting, and being trusted to get the job done, Horizon offers an opportunity to build a long-term career as the company continues to grow.
