The Avensys Service Team supports a wide range of equipment covering the environmental and instrumentation markets. Based in our Lachine office, your main duties will include working on various equipment, effectively troubleshooting equipment independently, quoting/following up with customers, and being a good representative of the company’s service efforts. Summary:
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating critical internal projects across the Hoskin Group’s diverse business units, with a focus on the Industrial Division, and Avensys’ key industry verticals of Process Air & Gas and Water & Wastewater. These sectors support customers through the design, integration, automation, and optimization of industrial processes, delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, regulatory compliance, and sustainability. This position is designed for a proactive leader who embodies a customer centric approach, champions continuous improvement, and drives innovation to support the organization’s continued growth and success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Own overall project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain the master project execution plan, coordinating activities across engineering, drafting, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, service, and external stakeholders.
- Lead project governance, ensuring clear accountability, effective communication, timely decision-making, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Serve as the primary commercial and executive point of contact for customers, providing proactive communication, status reporting, escalation management, and issue resolution.
- Establish and manage project budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and financial performance to ensure successful project outcomes and margin objectives.
- Own project risk management processes, including maintaining the project risk register, coordinating mitigation strategies, and escalating issues when required.
- Lead change management activities, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and resource impacts are properly assessed, approved, documented, and communicated.
- Coordinate and manage vendors, subcontractors, and third-party service providers to ensure contractual, schedule, quality, and commercial obligations are achieved.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning, design reviews, project meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities to support effective project execution.
- Ensure project documentation, reporting, governance records, lessons learned, and closeout activities are completed in accordance with corporate quality and operational requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes, standardization, resource utilization, and customer experience.
- Provide leadership and direction to functional project team members while maintaining accountability for overall project performance and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering and/or natural sciences is required
- 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in distribution or private equity portfolio companies.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi-departmental projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
- Strong skills in technical data management, process flow mapping, and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

however, travel and attending company events, conferences, and
industry gatherings may be required.
