Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the
Maintenance Attendant is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Attendant also responds to guest service requests and contributes to maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities.
- Respond to guest service requests efficiently and courteously.
- Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and masonry.
- Identify and report any major repairs requiring additional intervention to the supervisor.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the hotel’s equipment and facilities.
- Comply with departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow all occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Remain available to perform any other related duties as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical maintenance, building maintenance, and/or renovation.
- Knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in building mechanics or a related field is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift loads of up to 50 kg (110 lbs).
- Ability to communicate in French and English.
- Courtesy, autonomy, punctuality, stamina, and attention to detail are essential qualities for this position.
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) is required in this position because we serve international clients.
