- Previous community pharmacy experience
Education/Certification
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma from an accredited Community College
- Certified as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with OCP, in good standing
- Injection training and certification
Responsibilities
- Accurate entry and dispensing of prescription medications
- Technical verification of prescriptions and blister packs
- Blister pack preparation
- Preparing non-sterile compounds (Level A)
- Proficient in third party billing and insurance adjudication
- Train patients on use of drug administration and monitoring devices
- Handling prescription drop-off and pickup
- Ensuring the proper storage of pharmaceuticals and maintaining inventory
- Managing workflow within the dispensary
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Greeting customers and managing inquiries appropriately
