The Faculty of Social & Community Services (FSCS) is one of six faculties within the larger Humber College community with our focus being on Criminal Justice Services and Human Services. About the Forensic Identification Technologists Role:
The Forensic Identification Technologist will provide in-person experiential learning support for Professors teaching in the Forensic Identification Post Graduate Certificate program. Within the classroom setting, Technologists will be responsible for supporting experiential learning competencies including, but not limited to photography, processing a death scene, fingerprint development and analysis, forensic document examination, DNA and blood profiling techniques, and disaster scene management. Under the guidance of the Faculty, the Technologist will support students during in class lab completion including exercises, assignments, and when using equipment. The incumbent will also monitor lab activities between classes, providing access and instruction on equipment usage, and answering questions related to assignments. This role requires scheduling flexibility that allows for as many as 24 hours per week, with some evening work, and the willingness to alter schedules to fit the needs of the Forensic Identification Program. All work will take place in-person at the Lakeshore campus.

Education
- Minimum completion of a 3-year post-secondary forensic science program or related credential

- Field experience is not required
