About the Role
Hytera is hiring an Assistant Marketing Manager to be the main point of contact for marketing support to our Canadian dealer network, and the day-to-day owner of Hytera's digital presence in Canada.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports - a hands-on execution position, not a people-management one. We need someone who takes direction well, follows through reliably, and brings forward ideas without being asked - not a strategist, and not someone who waits to be told what to do next.
Location: Unit 11, 100 Leek Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3E6 Canada
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Canada Sales Director and Marketing Director, Americas
Key Responsibilities
Dealer & Channel Support (primary focus)
- Main point of contact for Canadian dealers requesting marketing support: product photos, simple design adjustments (via templates, working with our design team for anything more complex), and marketing materials (roll-ups, brochures, etc.).
- Administer the Dealer Marketing Development Fund (MDF) program: confirm fund availability, verify requested activities meet our funding policy, collect supporting evidence, and follow through with Accounting to credit note issuance.
- Plan and run on-the-ground logistics for Hytera's ~6 annual Canadian trade fairs: booth setup, materials shipping, on-site coordination.
- Support occasional larger events (roadshows, trainings) as needed.
Digital Marketing (in support of the channel)
Our digital presence in Canada exists to make our dealers and sales team more effective - not as a separate marketing track. In this role, you will:
- Manage Hytera Canada's social media presence and keep the dealer portal, website details, and brochures current.
- Select and localize content for the Canadian market from Hytera's regional content library, based on Canada's active sales priorities.
- Build and maintain a Canada-specific content calendar, planned jointly with the Marketing Director and the Digital team.
- Learn and apply basic SEO practices, with training and support from Hytera's Digital team.
What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in field, channel, or trade marketing, or a similar hands-on marketing execution role.
- Strong organizational skills - able to reliably manage several ongoing workstreams (fund administration, events, content) at once.
- Comfortable writing and adapting simple, business-oriented marketing content.
- A track record of taking initiative - proposing next steps and flagging issues rather than waiting to be told.
- Comfortable working with a Sales leader and a remote Marketing/Digital team based outside Canada.
- English required; French is an asset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for trade fairs (~6/year).
