Job Summary
This position is responsible for general warehouse work by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels via cycle counts, annual inventory, and spot checking;
- Kit assembly (i.e., place kit components into a shipping box);
- Demonstrate knowledge and accurately apply all computer-related duties as appropriate and scheduled;
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies, damages and report problems promptly;
- Store materials and supplies according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment;
- Sign for incoming deliveries, load and unload delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment;
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner;
- Maintain warehouse and receiving area in safe and orderly manner;
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Prepare products for shipment according to client orders/instructions by retrieving from the warehouse, packaging, weighing and documenting correct shipment details.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs;
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;
- Knowledge of ACCPAC, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and shipping software;
- Licensed to use forklift;
- Familiar with use of pallet jacks;
- Safely use utility knife and packaging tape dispensers;
