Senior Administrative Assistant to join the administrative team of our established Burnaby client. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's administrative manager, helping oversee day-to-day administrative activities while supporting partners, managers, and clients.

About The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, confident working with clients, and has previous experience taking a lead role within an administrative team.
The successful candidate will become an important part of the day-to-day administration function, providing senior-level support to the team and helping ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
About The Position
- Act as the senior member of the administrative team and provide day-to-day support and guidance to other administrators.
- Work closely with the Administrative Manager on workflow, priorities, coverage, and team coordination.
- Prepare and coordinate year-end packages, financial statements, tax documents, correspondence, and other client deliverables.
- Support billing, payments, time entry, and related administrative processes.
- Coordinate client onboarding, including gathering information, preparing documentation, and communicating with clients throughout the process.
- Prepare and distribute information request letters and follow up with clients as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic client files and ensure documents are complete, organized, and prepared according to firm standards.
- Provide professional and responsive client service by phone, email, and in person.
- Support partners, managers, and the broader client services team with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Assist with reception, mail, couriers, filing, scanning, office supplies, and other general office administration.
- Participate in cross-training and provide coverage across the administrative team as required.
- Help identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workflows.
- Support the team through peak periods, including additional hours during tax season and other high-volume deadlines.
The Requirements
- 6+ years of administrative experience, ideally within a professional services or public accounting environment.
- Previous experience taking a lead role within an administrative team or coordinating the work of others.
- Post-secondary education in administration, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRA terminology and common tax/accounting documents is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive, deadline-driven administrative tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak periods, including occasional weekends.
Compensation
- Annual salary range $60,000 - $80,000; depending on experience.
