Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) is a charitable not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the lives and voices of Indigenous peoples, and we are looking for a Program Development Project Lead to work within our Indigenous Child and Family Services Training (ICFST) program that provides delegation training to the twenty-four Indigenous Child and Family Service Agencies within British Columbia. To do so, we work in collaboration and cooperation with the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development and the Indigenous Child and Family Services Agencies, with a focus on restorative social work practices that uphold, support and honour Indigenous peoples’ systems of caring and resiliency. The salary is $70, 000.00 annually based on a 35-hour work week.

Position Summary:
Working with the Manager of Curriculum and Learning Development, the PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LEAD is responsible for supporting project analysis, design, development, implementation and/or evaluation of training initiatives associated with the Indigenous Child and Family Services Training (ICFST). The role translates strategic objectives into actionable project plans, including resources, activities and timelines to meet deliverables to support and/or improve program curriculum. To do so, the role works closely with a variety of external contractors and internal staff and maintains collaborative and cooperative relationships to meet project goals. The role also supports the administration of ICFST by: collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information; preparing quarterly reports; and maintaining educational platforms, tools and resources to support curriculum delivery for both instructors and participants.
Ideal Experience:
- A relevant degree in Human and Social Sciences, Indigenous Governance, Indigenous Family/Community Support, or equivalent education and/or lived experience
- 5-7 years of experience in project planning/organizing/coordinating, and/or working with Indigenous children, youth, families and communities, or equivalent and/or transferrable lived experience
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional/curriculum design in blended learning is an asset
- Sound knowledge of Indigenous communities, cultures, traditions and practices in BC
- Awareness and sensitivity to the impacts of colonization and the shared context of reconciliation
- Proficiency with computer software including MS Office, Moodle and PowerPoint
