About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise technology transformation program. This role requires proven experience in mainframe modernization, application transformation, or complex legacy platform initiatives, with strong governance, delivery oversight, vendor management, RAID management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the integrated program roadmap and delivery plan across projects, workstreams, vendors, and business teams.
- Establish and operate program governance, including decision forums, scope/change control, financial oversight, and escalation paths.
- Proactively manage program-level risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies with clear impact assessments and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain program financials, forecasts, resource plans, and vendor commitments.
- Coordinate multiple project managers and delivery leads to ensure integrated schedules and sequencing.
- Lead stakeholder alignment across business, technology, operations, architecture, security, and vendors.
- Provide concise, executive-level reporting on delivery health, milestones, financials, risks, and dependencies.
- Manage vendor delivery performance, contracts, milestones, and issue resolution.
- Ensure program deliverables follow PMO/EPMO standards using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methods.
Required Experience & Capabilities
- 10+ years of progressive program/project management experience.
- Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise technology programs and transformation initiatives.
- Strong program governance, integrated planning, financial management, risk/dependency management, vendor management, and executive reporting skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and vendors in a matrix organization.
- Excellent executive presence, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- PMP designation or equivalent program/project management credential strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in business, computer science, technology, or related discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Working across Canadian and U.S. teams, including distributed/offshore resources.
- Large application modernization, enterprise platform transformation, ERP-adjacent programs, cloud migration, or complex integration landscapes.
- Experience in regulated utility or similarly complex enterprise environments.
- Procurement/vendor lifecycle management (SOWs, RFPs, RFIs, RFQs).
- Supporting organizational change, business readiness, cutover, and post-implementation stabilization.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid office environment based in North York, Ontario.
- Travel within Canada and to the U.S. may be required.
- Fast-paced environment with concurrent priorities, deadlines, and high stakeholder visibility.
- Occasional off-hours availability for critical milestones and cutovers.
