Role Description The Fractional Sales Hunter role is responsible for sourcing, developing, and closing new business opportunities within industrial software and related technology markets. This on-site role in Toronto, ON involves identifying target accounts, building prospect lists, conducting outreach, and leading discovery conversations with technical and commercial stakeholders. The Sales Hunter will qualify opportunities, manage a pipeline, and coordinate with client teams to align solutions with customer needs. The role includes preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and providing regular reporting on sales activities and results. This position is fractional/part-time with a focus on high-impact business development for multiple clients within the industrial technology ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account acquisition, ideally within industrial technology, software, or system integration environments.
- Demonstrated ability to hunt for new business: prospecting, cold outreach, qualifying leads, and managing a structured sales pipeline.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working with complex, technical products and translating them into clear, outcome-focused value propositions.
- Self-directed work style with the ability to manage fractional engagements, prioritize accounts, and deliver results with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with sales tools and CRM platforms for tracking activities, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience working on-site with clients or partners, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and delivery teams.
- Relevant education in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in the Toronto industrial or technology market is an asset.
