Infosys Public Services is seeking a Business System Analyst. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:- Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Mississauga, ON or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Degree in Non-Engineering; BSC (P, C, M, Electronics, computer science and possibly statistics), BCom, BA. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology teams to identify business needs, analyze processes, define requirements, and support the delivery of technology solutions. The Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, architects, testers, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support solution design discussions and ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
- Facilitate requirement reviews, walkthroughs, and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Assist QA teams in developing test scenarios and validating delivered functionality.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and implementation activities.
- Monitor project scope and manage requirement changes through established change control processes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and best practices.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Experience with digital transformation, cloud, AI, data analytics, or enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting public sector, financial services, healthcare, or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of process modeling techniques.
Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:In Ottawa, ON: $92,740 to $123,375.
