We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of armored and specialty vehicles. This role is responsible for welding, fitting, assembling, and finishing metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring structural integrity, quality, and precision throughout the vehicle manufacturing process.

What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for custom armored vehicle fabrication
- Weld and assemble metal components for armored vehicle structures
- Inspect welds for quality, remove spatter, and ensure clean, strong joints
- Prime and seal weld spots to prepare for finishing
- Set up and adjust welding equipment (amperage, voltage, slope, pulse) based on engineering requirements
- Operate manual and semi‑automatic flame‑cutting equipment
- Use metal‑shaping machinery including brakes, shears, straighteners, and bending machines
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
- Fit, braze, and torch‑straighten metal components
- Weld in multiple positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
- Determine material weldability and ensure proper bonding
- Operate pre‑set welding, brazing, and soldering machines for fabrication and repair tasks
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CWB certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, metal fabrication techniques, and welding equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in armored vehicle manufacturing, custom automotive fabrication, heavy vehicle production, or a related industry.
- Experience working within OEM-quality manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, VPAM, STANAG, and other manufacturing or quality standards.
- Experience using advanced metal-forming, cutting, and welding equipment.
- Welding certifications would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions
This role operates within a manufacturing and fabrication environment and involves working with welding equipment, flame-cutting equipment, metal-forming machinery, and specialty fabrication tools. The successful candidate will be exposed to noise, heat, welding fumes, sparks, and other conditions commonly associated with metal fabrication and vehicle manufacturing. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including welding helmets, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear, must be worn as required.
