Compensation: $50,000-$100,000/yr base plus commission (experience dependent)

Insight Global is seeking an Account Executive to join our client in the freight and logistics industry, on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be responsible for driving new business growth across the organization's freight brokerage division. The successful candidate will focus on identifying and securing new shipping opportunities, expanding the customer base, and developing long-term client relationships throughout Ontario and beyond.

This is a highly sales-focused position where you will leverage a combination of existing industry relationships, prospecting, cold outreach, market research, and self-generated leads to build a book of business. You will work closely with the President and senior leadership team, who remain actively involved in supporting customer acquisition, proposal discussions, and closing opportunities when needed.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hunting for new business, is comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls, and can operate independently while delivering measurable revenue growth. While warehousing opportunities are welcomed, this role is primarily focused on expanding the customers freight brokerage services.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow a portfolio of freight brokerage clients across various industries
Prospect new customers through outbound calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation activities
Build and maintain relationships with shippers, manufacturers, distributors, and transportation decision-makers
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and account growth
Identify opportunities within industries such as manufacturing, food and beverage, agriculture, building materials, and hazardous materials
Collaborate with ownership and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Maintain a consistent sales pipeline and forecast future business opportunities
Generate long-term revenue growth through both new client acquisition and account expansion

Must Haves

2+ years of sales experience within the logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or supply chain industry
Experience building and growing a book of business
Proven success with:
Prospecting
Cold calling
Lead generation
Business development
Experience managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong organizational and time management skills

Plusses

Existing network of shippers or transportation customers
Freight brokerage sales experience
Experience selling into manufacturing organizations
Experience within building materials, food & beverage, agriculture, or hazardous materials sectors
Previous experience working within a transportation brokerage or third-party logistics (3PL) environment
