Insight Global is seeking an Interoperability Specialist for a leading aerospace client in Longueuil, Quebec. This role will support enterprise initiatives focused on Model-Based Definition (MBD), Product Manufacturing Information (PMI), manufacturing, quality, and digital thread transformation.
The successful candidate will evaluate how engineering models, PMI, manufacturing data, inspection processes, and quality requirements can be integrated and leveraged across multiple software platforms and business processes. The Interoperability Specialist will analyze existing processes, identify gaps and failure points, create test plans, execute validation activities, document findings, and help define future-state processes that support interoperability across engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems.
The role will work closely with stakeholders to assess legacy and current CAD models, determine compatibility with modern PMI standards, and support the organization's transition toward a digital thread environment. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace, automotive, medical device, or other highly regulated industry experience. Exposure to digital thread initiatives and engineering data management. Understanding of manufacturing workflows and production environments. Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, and dashboard development. Exposure to Python for data analysis or automation. Familiarity with data science concepts and analytics. Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve engineering or manufacturing workflows.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, interoperability, or model-based initiatives. - Strong experience with CATIA and 3D model interpretation.
- Understanding of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) and Model-Based Definition (MBD) principles.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and analyzing results.
- Strong knowledge of metrology, GD&T, inspection, and quality processes.
- Experience documenting processes, findings, and recommendations.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Bilingual French/English

Compensation:
$27.5/hr to $40/hr
