Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing operation. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15-20 production employees while driving safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance. The ideal candidate comes from a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment and has a strong track record of developing teams, improving output, and maintaining a positive culture on the production floor.
This is a leadership-focused role, with approximately 80% of time spent managing people, production priorities, and operational performance, and 20% spent providing hands-on support, coaching employees, and assisting with day-to-day floor activities as needed. As the organization continues to grow, this position offers the opportunity to evolve into a more strategic and delegation-focused leadership role.
This role is for the afternoon shift, Approx. 3:30pm to 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15-20 production employees.
- Drive daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved.
- Monitor workflow and output to maximize operational efficiency.
- Provide ongoing employee coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance.
- Support a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Assist on the production floor as needed, including providing hands-on support and covering breaks.
- Review production schedules and coordinate resources to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and operational metrics to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to support production activities and employee development.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and future team growth.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Approximately 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading teams of 15-20 employees.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing setting.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage productivity, workload distribution, and production output.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Background in electronics, transportation, automotive, precision manufacturing, metal fabrication, or similar industries.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to production reporting, KPI tracking, and workforce planning.

Pay Transparency:
The expected hour rate for this position falls between 37 to $42/hr
