JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Infrastructure, Network & Operations Engineer to join DLCG Mortgage Group following its recent acquisition of a leading fintech company. This is a hands-on infrastructure leadership role responsible for supporting, stabilizing, and modernizing a complex hybrid environment as the organization navigates a TSA separation and infrastructure transition. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure generalist with deep experience managing legacy enterprise environments, data centers, networking, storage, and disaster recovery while partnering closely with cloud, database, middleware, and security teams. This individual will play a critical role in knowledge transfer activities, operational continuity, and future cloud adoption initiatives. The environment includes a data center in Scarborough, Ontario, and requires someone comfortable being onsite frequently during the initial phases of the engagement. This role is focused on execution and problem-solving rather than governance, making it ideal for an engineer who can quickly mobilize teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive infrastructure stability. - Lead infrastructure support activities related to TSA separation and operational transition initiatives. - Manage and support enterprise data center infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability of critical business systems. - Administer and maintain AIX, Unix, Linux, Windows, IBM Power, and VMware environments. - Support network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity solutions. - Manage storage, backups, disaster recovery, infrastructure monitoring, and capacity planning activities. - Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution efforts across infrastructure, application, and vendor teams. - Execute infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, and operational changes following established change management practices. - Partner with database, cloud, middleware, and security teams to support business operations and modernization initiatives. - Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to maintain operational stability and resolve complex issues. - Maintain infrastructure documentation, support knowledge transfer efforts, and assist with transition and migration planning. This is a net new position with $74 an hour compensation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations experience. - Strong hands-on experience supporting complex enterprise infrastructure and data center environments. - Experience administering AIX, Unix, Linux, and Windows systems. - Experience supporting IBM Power platforms, VMware environments, and legacy enterprise infrastructure. - Strong knowledge of networking technologies including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting. - Experience managing storage, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring solutions. - Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, operating systems, networking, and platform services. - Experience supporting hybrid environments that include on-premises infrastructure and cloud-connected services. - Strong documentation, change management, and incident response experience. - Excellent communication, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Must be located in Ontario and comfortable working onsite as required, particularly during the initial phases of the engagement.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting TSA transitions, infrastructure separation projects, mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale technology migrations. - Experience supporting financial services, lending, mortgage, or other highly regulated environments. - Exposure to Oracle infrastructure environments and collaboration with DBA teams. - Experience supporting enterprise middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere or IBM DataPower. - Experience with AWS environments, cloud connectivity, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. - Experience participating in cloud migration and modernization initiatives. - Background supporting large-scale legacy enterprise infrastructure transformations.
