As the organization continues to strengthen its people practices and support its operations, Ferrell is looking for an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Generalist to join its team.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting within the corporate organization, the Human Resources Generalist will provide practical, responsive HR support to employees and management while contributing to the continued development of Ferrell’s HR programs and practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, offers and onboarding
- Providing HR guidance and support to managers and employees
- Supporting employee relations, performance management, coaching and corrective-action processes
- Administering compensation, benefits and HR programs
- Supporting employee training, development and career-growth initiatives
- Developing, maintaining and improving HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook
- Supporting compliance with applicable Ontario employment and workplace legislation
- Facilitating effective conflict resolution and positive employee relations
- Conducting employee orientations and exit interviews
- Maintaining accurate HR records, reports, organizational charts and employee information
- Participating in the development of HR goals, objectives and systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency and service to the organization
WHAT YOU BRING
The successful candidate will be a confident and approachable HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with sound judgment and excellent people skills.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
- CHRL Designation
- 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong understanding of Ontario employment standards, occupational health and safety requirements and other applicable workplace legislation
- Experience supporting recruitment and employee relations
- Experience developing and administering HR policies and programs
- Strong conflict-management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to effectively support employees, supervisors and senior leaders
- Strong organizational skills, discretion and attention to detail
- A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to Human Resources
