Head of Finance and Administration
INTUITIVE PICTURES is currently looking for a Head of Finance and Administration. Reporting to the President of the company, the selected individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing corporate, financial and administrative duties related to development, production and distribution activities for Intuitive Pictures and its multiple subsidiaries.
INTUITIVE PICTURES is a Montreal-based company dedicated to producing quality creative documentary and narrative features and series, and interactive projects. We have developed an expertise in international co-production and collaborate with partners worldwide. Oscar, BAFTA, Emmy nominated and Peabody award-winning veteran producer Ina Fichman helms the company.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all high-level administrative duties related to the company's activities, including managing personnel and corporate cash flow monitoring
- Act as liaison with staff responsible for preparing funding applications (institutions, tax credits) and closing files for these entities
- Work with external auditors on the production of audited final cost reports, including all accounting documentation required for tax credit claims and financial year ends
- Serve as the key point of contact for production teams and other departments regarding financial and administrative matters
- Prepare annual operating budgets, financial forecasts and resource optimization
- Coordinate the external and government audit process; analyze and produce documents required by management and institutions; monitor the company's tax files
- Improve processes and implement internal control tools for the group's various projects and companies to track and manage administrative workflow
- Act as designated representative of the company to government authorities and Intuitive Pictures' financial institution
The ideal candidate is an experienced, rigorous and methodical individual, motivated to join a team committed to raising Intuitive Pictures' profile in Canada and abroad.
- 7–10 years of management and finance experience within a television or film production company, ideally with some experience in international co-productions
- Fluent in oral and written French and English
- An accounting background or a Bachelor's degree in Finance is an asset
