About the Role
Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops is looking for an enthusiastic, guest-focused Outlets Server to join our Food & Beverage team at Cordo Resto + Bar. As an Outlets Server, you will provide attentive and knowledgeable food and beverage service across our restaurant, lounge, in-room dining, Grab & Go, and seasonal pool operations. You will help create memorable guest experiences by anticipating guest needs, making thoughtful menu recommendations, accurately processing orders and payments, and working closely with the Food & Beverage team to deliver efficient and professional service. What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive food and beverage service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide menu knowledge and recommendations.
- Serve food, wine, beer, cocktails, and other beverages in accordance with established service standards.
- Anticipate guest needs, provide timely follow-up, and complete quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Accurately enter orders, process payments, room charges, and cash transactions using the POS system.
- Prepare dining areas for service and complete required opening and closing duties.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked tables, service stations, and guest areas.
- Bus and reset tables and assist with food running and other service-support responsibilities as needed.
- Support service across Cordo Resto + Bar, the lounge, in-room dining, Grab & Go, banquets, and the seasonal pool area based on business needs.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily features, hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Work collaboratively with culinary, Food & Beverage, and hotel teams to ensure seamless guest service.
- Follow food safety, responsible alcohol service, health and safety, and hotel policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant, serving, hospitality, or Food & Beverage experience is required.
- Serving It Right certification is required.
- FOODSAFE certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine, beer, and cocktails.
- Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently describe menu items and provide thoughtful recommendations.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
- Previous POS and cash-handling experience.
- Ability to manage a table section while supporting food running, bussing, and other service needs.
- Positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and technology.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
This position operates in a fast-paced Food & Beverage environment with varying service demands and frequent guest interaction. Outlets Servers may work indoors or outdoors and may be scheduled across different Food & Beverage areas based on operational requirements. The role requires flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays while consistently maintaining professional and attentive guest service.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to safely carry trays containing food and beverages.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to regularly use stairs while transporting food, beverages, and service supplies.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor hospitality environments while maintaining safety, quality, and service standards.
