Role Description This full-time hybrid role for Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technicians and Apprentices is based in Redcliff, AB, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles, conducting inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation, and diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues in a field and shop environment. Team members will collaborate with operations staff to schedule service, complete work orders, maintain accurate records, and follow safety procedures and standards at all times. Apprentices will support journeyperson technicians, learn best practices, and participate in ongoing training related to heavy equipment service and oilfield operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance for heavy-duty and support units.
- Proven ability in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment servicing in industrial or energy sector settings.
- Effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical systems.
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (or equivalent) certification, or active apprenticeship enrollment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safe work practices in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and equipment schematics.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain clear service documentation.
- Comfort working in a hybrid model, with on-site work in Redcliff, AB and limited remote administrative tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; experience with field service work is an asset.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and respond to operational needs, including occasional overtime.
