About the Role
iTeck Roofing Inc. is looking for a hands-on Field Operations & Safety Coordinator to support our commercial roofing operations across the GTA.
This is not a traditional safety-only position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our safety program while also working closely with our Project Managers, foremen, and field crews.
The right person will be organized, proactive, practical, and willing to take on responsibility beyond a standard job description. We want someone who can think independently, solve problems, and help improve how our field operations are managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all company health and safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with COR®, ISO 45001, company policies, and applicable Ontario construction safety requirements
- Maintain training records, certifications, inspections, toolbox talks, incident reports, corrective actions, and safety files
- Prepare and maintain site-specific safety documentation and plans
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and follow up on deficiencies
- Work directly with foremen and crews to correct unsafe conditions and improve site practices
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective action plans
- Coordinate crew schedules and manpower with Project Managers
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and field requirements
- Support mobilization planning, site access, equipment, material coordination, and safety requirements
- Visit active projects and monitor safety, site conditions, progress, organization, and workmanship
- Communicate with Project Managers, foremen, workers, general contractors, consultants, and site supervisors
- Help identify field issues before they affect safety, schedule, quality, or productivity
- Assist with site reports, photos, deficiencies, project documentation, and closeout requirements
- Learn commercial roofing systems and assist with quality and installation inspections
- Help coordinate communication between the office and field
- Support scheduling and organization of crews across multiple projects
- Look for opportunities to improve safety systems, field procedures, organization, and productivity
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow issues through to completion

- Be confident communicating with workers, foremen, Project Managers, general contractors, and consultants
- Be willing to learn commercial roofing systems and field inspection
- Notice problems early and take action before they become larger issues
- Be willing to assist outside of their normal responsibilities when required
- Want to grow into a larger field operations or management role
Qualifications
- Experience in construction safety, field operations, site supervision, or project coordination
- Knowledge of Ontario construction health and safety requirements
- Experience with COR® and ISO 45001 is strongly preferred
- Experience maintaining safety documentation and compliance records
- Commercial roofing experience is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working both in the office and in the field
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Ability to travel between job sites throughout the GTA
