Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mortgage Agent / Mortgage Broker based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.The role involves advising clients on suitable mortgage products, assessing financial profiles, and gathering required documentation to support mortgage applications. The Mortgage Agent / Mortgage Broker will liaise with multiple lenders, negotiate mortgage terms, and ensure accurate, timely submission of applications. Day-to-day tasks include managing a client pipeline, responding to inquiries, maintaining detailed records, and guiding clients through every stage of the mortgage process from initial consultation to closing. The role also includes building referral networks, contributing to mortgage marketing activities, and staying current with regulatory changes and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current regulations, market trends, and lender products.
- Hands-on experience with mortgages and mortgage lending, including advising clients, structuring deals, and submitting applications.
- Familiarity with mortgage servicing practices, documentation requirements, and end-to-end client support.
- Experience with mortgage marketing, lead generation, and building client and referral relationships.
- Valid Mortgage Agent or Mortgage Broker license in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial information.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Previous experience in residential or commercial lending, banking, or financial services is an asset.
