We are hiring for an
AMI Solution Architect Smart Grid & Utilities. This role focuses on enterprise architecture and digital transformation across Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and smart grid platforms.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of architecture experience in utilities, with strong expertise in AMI platforms, MDMS, and utility system integrations.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience in utilities, AMI, or smart grid environments
- Hands-on knowledge of AMI platforms such as Itron, Landis+Gyr, Sensus, or Trilliant
- Experience with MDMS platforms such as Oracle Utilities, Siemens EnergyIP, or Honeywell
- Strong understanding of OMS, CIS, SCADA, DMS, MDMS, and GIS integrations
- Knowledge of smart meters, head-end systems, OT, data integration, and analytics platforms
- Understanding of RF Mesh, LTE, PLC, and utility network infrastructure
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory standards
- Experience with North American electric, gas, or water utility AMI deployments
What You'll Do
- Define AMI enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and solution designs
- Guide integration, data flow, security, and interoperability across AMI systems
- Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Align AMI platforms with utility IT/OT systems and third-party applications
- Provide architectural governance and technical guidance
- Collaborate with vendors, business teams, and technology stakeholders
Nice to have
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks
- Familiarity with OEB, FERC, NERC CIP, and Canadian privacy standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
