We are hiring for a
Java Developer. This role focuses on hands-on
Core Java development for large-scale
Market Risk technology platforms and
distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience and the ability to provide technical guidance within an Agile team.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of relevant experience building large-scale, production-grade systems
- Strong Core Java development experience
- Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting
- Experience with relational and/or document-oriented databases
- Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to guide junior staff and influence technical direction
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and support key components of the Market Risk platform
- Develop scalable, high-performance solutions for market risk calculations and analytics
- Use AI tools to support agentic and analytical workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global counterparts
- Work in an Agile development environment
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
Nice to have
- Experience with Agentic AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
- Experience using Python and Unix in production environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Exposure to Apache Spark and Snowflake
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Knowledge of containerized deployments and cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps best practices
- Background in financial services, particularly Market Risk or FinTech
