Role: Senior QA Automation
Location: Toronto, ON
Job Summary: We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in test automation, functional testing, and defect management.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and software applications.
Execute automated and manual tests to identify defects and ensure application quality.
Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
Analyze test results and document defects with clear details.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
Perform regression, functional, integration, and API testing.
Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify potential quality issues.
Support continuous improvement of QA and automation processes.
Required Skills
8+ years of experience in software testing and QA Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
Good programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman.
Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools.
Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development environments.
Cloud testing experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
