Senior Project Manager, Development & Engineering (Full-Time, on-site)

What You’ll Do
As an experienced Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead the design, construction, and execution of complex industrial, residential, and commercial development projects. You have a strong engineering background (Civil or Structural Engineering preferred), extensive Canadian and US project management experience, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and stakeholders across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Development Management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across industrial, residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants including architects, civil engineers, structural, mechanical, electrical consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and project reporting.
- Monitor project performance and implement solutions to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team regarding project status, risks, and opportunities.
Engineering & Technical Oversight
- Review engineering drawings, site plans, grading plans, servicing plans, structural drawings, and construction documents.
- Provide technical input during design development and construction stages.
- Evaluate design alternatives, value engineering opportunities, and construction methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, building codes, and engineering standards.
Industrial Development and Processing Projects:
- Support development and expansion of industrial facilities related to manufacturing, processing, logistics and industrial operations.
- Coordinate site planning, building permit and infrastructure requirements for industrial developments.
- Experience leading operations in complex industrial, manufacturing, processing, or asset-intensive environments, with responsibility for operational performance, safety, quality, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in equipment layout reviews and facility optimization initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with municipalities, regulatory agencies, utility providers, approval authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Assist in negotiations and award of construction contracts.
Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with municipal approval processes and regulatory agencies throughout Canada.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is considered a strong asset, together with a Project Management Profession (PMP) Designation
Experience
- 10-15 years of Canadian project management.
- Demonstrated success managing projects from concept through construction completion.
- Experience acting as an owner's representative or development manager is highly desirable.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, residential, infrastructure, or redevelopment projects.
- Familiarity with Canadian development approvals, engineering standards, and construction practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial redevelopment and brownfield sites.
- Familiarity with budgeting, capital planning, and financial analysis.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of:
- Site servicing and municipal infrastructure
- Grading and stormwater management

- Land development and construction processes
- Project controls, budgeting, and scheduling
- Proficiency with: AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, MS Project & MS Office Suite
