Temporary Hourly Position – September 2026 to January 2027
Hours: 40 hours per week

A day in the life:
The Warehouse & Installation Service Coordinator supports daily receiving, warehouse, delivery, installation, and post-possession service activities. Serving as a key link between the warehouse, installers, customers, suppliers, and office team, this role ensures products are received and organized, service issues are documented and resolved, replacements are ordered, and stakeholders receive timely updates. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Delivery Acceptance
- Receive deliveries from suppliers and couriers and directed to the appropriate customer, project, installer or warehouse location.
- Check incoming products for visible damage, shortages, incorrect items, or other discrepancies and documenting, communicate these findings to the appropriate team member,
- Maintain organized records of products received and outstanding deliveries.
Warehouse Organization & Sorting
- Sort and organize incoming blinds, drapery, wallpaper, hardware, and related products.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse and receiving area.
- Perform periodic inventory counts or warehouse reconciliations as required.
Post-Possession Installation Service
- Receive and track post-possession service requests.
- Coordinate with installers to obtain measurements, photographs, product information, or other details required to resolve service issues.
- Arrange replacement or re-order of products that are faulty, damaged, missing, or incorrect.
- Follow up on outstanding replacement orders until the required product has been received.
Customer Communication
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding installation deficiencies and service requests.
- Acknowledge customer concerns and provide clear information regarding next steps.
- Provide customers with updates regarding replacement orders, product arrival, installer scheduling, and expected resolution.
- Escalate unusual, sensitive, or unresolved customer issues to management.
Administration & Tracking
- Update internal tracking systems, spreadsheets, or other company records as required.
- Assist with general administrative and operational duties related to installations and warehouse activities.
- Support the office and installation teams during periods of increased workload.
What you will bring to the table:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous customer-service approach.
- Ability to manage multiple outstanding items and follow them through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing product specifications, measurements, colours, and customer orders.
- Able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and basic order or tracking systems.
- Previous experience in warehousing, customer service, construction, homebuilding, interior finishes, window coverings, or installation coordination is an asset but not required.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to receive, move, sort, and organize boxes and window-covering products within the warehouse. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Occasional local travel or delivery assistance may be required depending on operational needs.
Position Term
This is a temporary hourly contract position for approximately 40 hours per week from September through January. The role is intended to provide additional operational support during a busy period and will focus primarily on receiving, warehouse coordination, installation support, and resolution of post-possession customer service requests.
