Responsibilities
- Prepare and trim meat to required cuts following safety standards.
- Operate knives and butchery tools with precision and safety.
- Hit daily/weekly production targets and contribute to pipeline planning.
- Adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Ensure accurate weight, packaging, and labeling of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
- Record production data and report variances for performance tracking.
- Collaborate with team to continuously improve processes and reduce waste.
- Assist in quality checks to ensure product meets customer specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to supervisor.
- Seek opportunities for personal development and cross-training within the team.
- Support on-site teamwork while maintaining accountability for individual results.
Experience/Qualifications
- Proven meat cutting and deboning experience with knife safety mastery.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory meat handling standards.
- Ability to meet daily/weekly production targets and track workflow.
- Accurate weight, packaging, and labeling per spec and traceability.
- Strong sanitation practices with hands-on cleanliness of area and tools.
- Record production data, variances, and inventory needs clearly.
- Collaborative mindset to drive process improvements and waste reduction.
- On-site teamwork with accountability for individual performance.
- Willingness to participate in cross-training and personal development.
- Strong communication skills to report variances and stock needs to supervisor.
