We are looking to fill a barista position on our team at JJ Bean - Park and Tilford! Located in North Vancouver at 333 Brooksbank Ave. in the Park and Tilford shopping complex.
We are hoping to find someone eager with a good attitude to welcome into our team. We are a very busy location with lots to do but we also like to have fun and enjoy our days while getting it done!
This is a long-term flexible shift work position ranging from early morning to evening shifts. (Store hours are 6am - 9pm) This is a customer service position with full training upon hire (barista experience is not necessary although a nice plus!) We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible withing the time frame of November 1st - 15th.
Some responsibilties/duties upon hire include (but are not limited to):
- Serving customers at the cash register and navigating our POS system.
- Taking payments from customers.
- Preparing/stocking supplies for the day. (Either at the beginning of the day or end of night.)
- Brewing drip coffee and serving it to customers.
- Collecting pastries for customers.
- Operating a panini grill and serving lunch items to customers.
- Bussing the cafe and operating our dish washer.
- Proper cleaning upkeep of the cafe out on the floor and in the back of house.
- Communicating and working closely with other team members.
Through our level system, soon after initial training and settling in, we begin deepening coffee knowledge and training more resposnsibilities such as opening/closing duties, daily duties which are more complex, operating the espresso bar, etc.
Other Requirements Are As Follows
- Minimum availibilty of 2 days or more.
- Availibilty on at least one weekend day.
- Capability of arriving in time for early morning shifts.
