J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) is a multidisciplinary practice offering services in all core engineering disciplines, architecture, planning, and project management. Within this structure, we provide clients with a fully integrated, single point of contact service for all project requirements, from needs definition and feasibility studies to concept and detailed designs, contract documents, permitting, scheduling, costing, and administration during construction.

Since our founding in 1955, our company has evolved to mirror the complex and interrelated systems we are designing. With all design disciplines under one roof, we thoroughly and efficiently balance the varied and often competing individual system requirements towards the objective of the best overall design solution. The benefit to our clients is coordinated and cost-effective designs that read and function as unified entities.

In 2020, JLR was awarded Platinum Club status from the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program, one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing best-in-class Canadian-owned and -managed companies with revenues over $50-million. JLR won its initial Best Managed award in 2013 and has successfully retained its status since then.
