Role Description
We are seeking Farm Workers to support daily agricultural operations on a farm in Staple, Canada. The successful candidates will perform a variety of agricultural duties, including planting, cultivating, harvesting crops, maintaining fields and farm buildings, and assisting with general farm operations.
Responsibilities may also include caring for livestock, feeding and watering animals, monitoring animal health, maintaining clean and safe animal housing, and assisting with the operation and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery.
Workers will be expected to follow farm safety procedures, work effectively with farm management and other team members, and contribute to achieving daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, maintain, and harvest crops.
- Perform general farm and field maintenance.
- Care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health.
- Maintain clean and safe conditions for livestock.
- Operate farm equipment and machinery safely where required.
- Assist with basic maintenance of farm equipment and facilities.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform physically demanding agricultural work in varying weather conditions.
- Assist with other general farm duties as assigned by farm management.
Qualifications
- Previous farm, agricultural, or livestock experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of livestock care and animal health.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate farm equipment and machinery.
- Practical experience with crop harvesting, manual labour, and basic agricultural tools is an advantage.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors.
- Basic communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site in Staple, Canada.
