Our employer partner is a Social Service Organization and currently looking to add an experienced Driver and Warehouse Associate to their team!
Job Overview:
The Driver and Warehouse Associate is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and donation pickups safely and efficiently. The position involves operating assigned vehicles, conducting routine vehicle safety inspections, maintaining cleanliness and roadworthiness, and following all applicable driving regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review daily delivery and donation pickup schedules and communicate any changes with operations staff.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and operated safely.
Complete deliveries and donation pickups efficiently while following all applicable driving regulations.
Record pickup locations, weights, and relevant information in organizational tracking systems.
Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and donation pickups.
Unload donated goods and deliveries at the warehouse.
Label, organize, and move received inventory to appropriate storage locations.
Accurately pack orders according to the needs of partner agencies and ensure items are securely prepared for delivery.
Weigh incoming inventory and maintain accurate records in organizational systems.
Load delivery vehicles and verify that all required items are included before departure.
Support general warehouse operations and assist with operational tasks as required.
Model safe, efficient, and effective work practices for staff, students, and volunteers.
Support workplace learning, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with team members across transportation and warehouse functions to meet operational needs.
Qualifications:
No formal educational qualification is required.
Relevant work experience, reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are highly valued.
Experience with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading, inventory organization, order packing, and use of warehouse equipment, is an asset.
Ability to work in a full-time, in-person environment, including evenings and weekends when required.
Ability to work both on the road and in a warehouse setting, including outdoor loading and unloading activities.
Ability to perform physically demanding duties involving frequent lifting, bending, twisting, standing, driving, and loading/unloading goods.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures and safely handle donated food and household items.
