K&K Insurance Canada Is Looking For an Underwriting Assistant
The position supports a team that is driven everyday to think bigger and do better for our customers, and achieve desired results. Reporting directly into the Underwriting Director, this technical position is a key part of the K&K team.
Your Impact As An Underwriting Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Service a book of business under supervision of the Underwriter and Underwriting Director
- Log applications, process commercial insurance policies, endorsements, renewals.
- Maintain electronic client files and abeyance files for outstanding underwriting information
- Assist with preparation of quotes and binders
- Assist with preparation of accounting spreadsheets, account reconciliation & broker invoicing.
Education & Experience:
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma
- 2 years of Commercial and/or Specialty Insurance experience is required
- Must be technologically savvy and data-driven, including proficiency in Excel
- CIP courses or designation an asset but not required to begin role
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications.
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
- Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
This role will requires no travel.
We Offer You:
The salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 - $55,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
