We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Safety & Logistics Officer to support our crews with material delivery, equipment coordination, and workplace safety.
Job Description
The Safety & Logistics Officer will coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and safety requirements for roofing crews working at multiple job sites. This is a hands-on position requiring regular driving, physical work, and communication with crew leaders and management.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits: Company benefits available after successful completion of the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics, Materials & Trailer Coordination
· Deliver required roofing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to crews working at different job sites across the Lower Mainland.
· Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently for roofing crews.
· Coordinate with crew leaders to ensure they have the required materials and equipment for each job.
· Take company trailers to job sites as required and assist crews with loading roofing waste and garbage materials into the trailer.
· Transport loaded trailers to the appropriate dump/disposal facility and return the trailer to the required job site or company yard.
· Ensure trailers are available and properly positioned for crews when needed.
· Organize and maintain trailers, vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.
· Coordinate material pickups, deliveries, and equipment movements based on daily job requirements.
· Respond to urgent material or equipment requests from crews and supervisors.
Safety Responsibilities
· Assist with implementing and maintaining company health and safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct job-site visits and safety inspections to identify hazards and report concerns.
· Help ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow fall-protection and other applicable safety requirements.
· Assist with worker orientations, toolbox meetings, safety documentation, and inspection records.
· Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues to management.
· Help maintain safety supplies, signage, and required safety documentation.
· Support compliance with applicable WorkSafeBC requirements and company safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Must have a valid driver's licence and a safe driving record.
· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
· Previous experience in roofing, construction, logistics, material handling, or a related field is preferred.
· Knowledge of construction health and safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements is an asset.
· Relevant safety training or certifications are an asset. We are willing to provide training.
· Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload roofing materials and equipment safely.
· Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
· Reliable, punctual, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment.
· Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with crew leaders and management.
Work Environment
This role involves a combination of driving, outdoor job-site visits, material handling, trailer loading and unloading, and safety coordination. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and prioritizing both operational efficiency and workplace safety.
