Role Description The Travel Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC. This position is responsible for advising customers on travel options, creating customized itineraries, and handling reservations for flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities. The consultant will provide proactive customer service, respond to inquiries, and recommend suitable travel products based on budget, preferences, and safety requirements. Daily tasks include managing bookings and changes, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining accurate records in reservation systems, and meeting sales and service targets. The role also involves staying current on travel trends, destination information, and supplier offerings to deliver informed, high-quality recommendations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Consulting and Travel Management to advise customers and manage complete trip itineraries.
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Arrangements and Reservations to book and modify flights, hotels, tours, and other services accurately.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Experience using reservation or GDS systems and basic proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., email, CRM software) is beneficial.
- Strong sales aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment are preferred.
- Knowledge of popular travel destinations, visa and travel requirements, and current travel trends is an asset.
- Relevant education or certification in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field is advantageous.
