A respected organization is seeking a Manager, Finance to play a key role within its Finance leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can combine strong technical tax knowledge with financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the CFO and will oversee key corporate tax activities while leading core financial planning and analysis responsibilities. The position will play an important role in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial modelling.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain financial models to support tax planning, forecasting, and business decision-making
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly variance analysis, identifying trends and key business drivers
- Analyze revenue, costs, profitability, and other financial metrics and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Oversee corporate tax planning and compliance activities, including applicable federal, provincial, and indirect tax filings
- Review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations on a regular basis
- Manage external advisors and support audits on tax and other technical financial matters
- Partner with internal finance teams on cash management, funding requirements, and liquidity planning
- Lead short- and long-term cash flow forecasting and monitor working capital requirements
- Improve financial models, reporting tools, and processes related to forecasting and liquidity management
- Prepare and review detailed financial working papers and supporting analysis
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and improved financial tools
- Contribute to strategic projects involving corporate planning, investments, acquisitions, financing, and other business analysis
What You Bring
- CPA or equivalent professional designation
- 5+ years of progressive experience across areas such as tax, financial reporting, FP&A, or treasury
- Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate taxation
- Experience with tax planning and compliance; exposure to specialized corporate tax considerations is an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting financial information to senior leadership
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
