Centre Director

Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood leader looking to make a meaningful impact? Little Willows by Kids & Company is seeking a dedicated Centre Director to lead our childcare centre while remaining actively involved in the classroom and school-age program.
This is a 35-hour-per-week position with a split shift between the morning and afternoon. The successful candidate will work directly with children alongside another educator, including walking children to and from a nearby school, supporting programming, and providing classroom coverage. There is potential for this role to increase to 40 hours per week in the future.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily centre operations, including staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and programming
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
- Lead, coach, and support a team of educators
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Maintain licensing, attendance, and administrative documentation
- Support enrollment and family retention initiatives
- Work directly in ratio with children for approximately 5-6 hours per day
- Walk children to and from a nearby school for daily drop-off and pick-up
- Collaborate alongside another educator to deliver engaging, high-quality programming
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Ensure the centre is organized, compliant, and audit-ready
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or equivalent qualifications as required by provincial regulations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Strong knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and best practices
- Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on classroom support
