Role Description The Video Producer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Vancouver, BC, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. This role is responsible for planning, producing, and delivering video content that supports child online safety education, product awareness, and brand storytelling. Day-to-day tasks include developing concepts and storyboards, coordinating production schedules, capturing and editing video footage, and integrating motion graphics and multimedia elements. The Video Producer will manage post-production workflows, ensure high-quality audio and visual output, and optimize content for various digital platforms. Collaboration with marketing, product, and education teams is expected to align video projects with campaign goals and organizational messaging.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in video production and multimedia content creation for digital platforms.
- Proficiency in video editing and video post-production, including color correction and sound design.
- Experience with motion graphics and integrating visual effects into video projects.
- Comfort with planning shoots, managing timelines, and coordinating resources and stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex cybersecurity and child safety topics into clear, engaging visual stories.
- Knowledge of video formats, compression, and distribution best practices for web and social media.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable software).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media production, communications, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience creating content for educational, non-profit, or tech/cybersecurity organizations is beneficial.
