Role Description The Preschool Teacher at Kinderbrook Montessori is responsible for creating and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool-aged children. In this full-time, on-site role located in Paris, ON, the teacher will plan daily lessons, prepare classroom materials, and guide children through Montessori-inspired activities that foster independence, curiosity, and social skills. The role includes observing and documenting children’s progress, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment, and supporting positive behavior and conflict resolution. The Preschool Teacher will communicate regularly with families, collaborate with colleagues on school events and projects, and participate in ongoing professional development. The teacher is expected to uphold Kinderbrook Montessori’s values of respect, compassion, and inclusive education in all interactions with children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and experience working with preschool or Kindergarten-aged children.
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons, with skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned to Montessori principles or similar child-centered approaches.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and family updates.
- Formal training or certification in early childhood education, Montessori education, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment, with strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it, and compliance with all local childcare licensing and background check requirements.
